Integrative medicine is a holistic approach to healthcare that combines conventional medical treatments with evidence-based complementary therapies to address the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of a patient’s well-being. This approach focuses on treating the whole person, rather than just addressing specific symptoms or diseases.
Functional medicine is a key component of this approach, emphasizing the identification and treatment of underlying causes of illness through a deep understanding of each patient’s unique biochemistry, genetics, and lifestyle factors. It prioritizes root cause resolution, personalized treatment plans, and preventive care.
At Intercoastal Health, our integrative and functional medicine approach involves advanced medical treatments alongside therapies such as nutrition counseling, stress management, lifestyle modifications, and personalized diagnostics. The goal is to enhance the body’s natural healing processes and optimize long-term health outcomes.
Patients can expect a focus on preventive health, chronic disease management, and individualized care plans tailored to their specific needs. Both integrative and functional medicine are grounded in scientific evidence, working in conjunction with conventional medical practices to provide comprehensive, effective care.
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
If you’re injured in an auto accident in Florida, it’s important to see a doctor within 14 days to retain your Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits. Failing to do so will result in a waiver of your rights to PIP coverage, with no exceptions. At Intercoastal Health, our Healthcare Providers are highly experienced in treating auto accident injuries and are well-versed in helping patients maximize their PIP benefits.
We can assist with all necessary PIP documentation, including claims for lost wages, medical reimbursements, household duties, and travel expenses. Our team will thoroughly document your condition, treatment, and progress, and we provide a comprehensive Injury Evaluation Report that details your injuries, diagnostic test results, long-term care needs, and a prognosis for future medical costs.
